Nazca Lines, Peru, America, Sign

In southern Peru between the Pacific Ocean and the Andes lies Nazca, a desert plateau. The Nasca lines in Peru have been clamoring for since their discovery in 1920 questions. There were many theories about this archaeological mystery woven and U.S. scientists now an add on to it through the lines as guides for water sources to consider.

That the Nasca lines until the 20s has been discovered, ironically, all about the huge size of the patterns. From the land is not or hardly see what the tangled lines proposed.-b- Only when viewed from the air is clear that the lines form geometric figures and figurative images. And it was not until the twenties that commercial flights over Peru were performed. Since then, the Nasca lines as an archaeological mystery and seen many theories were drawn up to explain the phenomenon.

The "Nasca lines" in three distinct types:
1. Geometric figures, 227 lines;
2. Simple lines, number unknown. There are thousands and they are never counted;
3. Figures that depict animals or humans, 32 in total.

These three types of lines are also the three Mysteries of Nasca:
The geometric shapes include angles, triangles, spirals, rectangles, vary lines and so on. Some lines form concentric circles of the higher areas.

The straight lines, many kilometers long, crossing many sectors of the desert in all directions. Many of the lines seem arbitrary and have no pattern. The function and meaning of the lines is less clear and many likely and less likely theories have attempted to explain the phenomenon.

Animal and human forms are sphinxes of ancient animal gods who also patterns of constellations can be. The dimensions of the figures are different: for example, the Monkey is 95 meters high, the Phoenix is 388 meters, 32 meters the spider and the Hummingbird is 198 meters high. There are also four figures at a distance of just 17 km apart and each has a diameter of just over 38 meters.

A major unanswered question is "The creators of Nasca lines dominated the math?" Their precision is suspected or The Nasca lines are two types of figures: geoglyphs (geometric figures) and biomorphic (plants, animals, and humans). Dating of the biomorphic lines situated in a slightly different period, while also geographically centralized. Perhaps the biomorphic remains of a local tradition. Together, the lines more than 1,500 km long but the numbers of separate structures are impressive - the main character has an area of 134,000 square meters and the longest line measuring 14 km. Their scale and the large amount of images are the Nasca-scenes kind of thing, even if similar scenes elsewhere as well the lines are surprisingly easy to come about. The yellowish light of the high plains desert is covered with a layer of dark volcanic rock. By removing this layer and the rock along the edge of a line to explain were the Nasca figures, as it were etched in the ground. This is probably done by hand because there are no traces of draft animals found. That the region one of the most calm and rain-free areas on Earth, caused the figures to the ravages of time had passed.

This desert region is called the "greatest sketchbook of the world." It covers an area of ± 520 km ². The past 10,000 years there is practically no rain. If someone runs over it, footprints will remain visible for years. There is no blade of grass grows. Some lines are 8 km long, there's even a 65 km. The lines have between 55 BC. and 500 AD. made. It is thought that the Nazca Indians that have made its predecessors of Incas. The drawings and lines are only visible from the air.

There are several species identified as a hummingbird, fish, dog, monkey and the spider. but also flowers and a man with a halo. Especially, the drawing of the spider, he's about 45 meters long and is one of the most remarkable drawings of animals. It is a member of the species Ricinulei, a Netherlands rarest spider in the world. The drawing is so precise that the spider is depicted with the typical for this type of "extended leg" at the end with a clearly recognizable genital. That you normally can see only under the microscope. Nobody knows why there are so many drawings are done, why it so great and how the lines as straight as an arrow made.

It is suspected that the Indians were already able to ballooning. There are shards of pottery found with balloon pictures. That would explain so the drawings of such great size and good beating to get right. So there were probably surveyors checked the workers at their work. But it remains a mystery why these drawings there. There are several theories about this. Dr. Maria Reiche a mathematician from Germany, more than half her life Nazca mystery investigated. It has hundreds of mapped and measured. Her theory is that the lines are a sort of astronomical calendar. she believes that lines the predicted positions of celestial bodies and used to determine the right time to sow or harvest. They would also predict solar and lunar eclipse.
The spider would seem to be the constellation Orion. And the monkey corresponds to the constellation Leo. Until she died six years back, the German mathematician Maria Reiche spent 50 years studying it. But there are also theories of other researchers, some claim that the markers are of extraterrestrial beings. Include Erich von Däniken wrote the 1969 book "Were the gods cosmonauts. In this book was that many things that the ancients were produced, possibly resulting from science and knowledge are passed by aliens. Think of the pyramids in Egypt. Erich von Daniken believes that the Egyptians themselves could not build it first having "received" by aliens to do. This also applies to the great plains of Nazca, Peru.Because these drawings in their entirety only from high in the sky to observe. Why would the ancients make drawings on the ground that they themselves could not even see what it suggested? It is difficult to understand how people at that time and a mysterious culture were capable of such great figures to draw like a monkey and a hummingbird, only from the air can be recognized, apart from the fact that there is no way you could see from above. The figure "The Astronaut" was created by the earth's population to the extraterrestrial visitors ask to come back.

Still others claim they have been made for the mountain gods and sky gods. Who is right, the question remains whether there is a different answer?

Nazca lines in Peru - for how long?

The Nazca lines in Peru, more than 1000 years back and made about 80,000 tourists annually, be turned into a waste container.
Hannah Hennessy (BBC) requires that waste landfill in this area is not the only problem. Until recently reason cars across the line to pay tolls on the Trans American Highway (Pan-American highway). One problem is that the lines are not impressive, unless you can see from a balloon or airplane. People on the ground may not even realize that they are there, but others do violence to the site deliberately. Local residents know that they are not supposed to waste disposal, so they wait until dark to do it. Nazca Mayor Daniel Mantilla even doing this, although the Nazca lines tourist money in the drawer of his gemeenschao bring. He says he is forced to deposit waste there because the government has adopted no other place for that. "If we do not unite, the situation goes from bad to worse and that should the cultural institute and the Ministry of Tourism understand. They must unite around the local government, but rather they are turning against us.”

The Nasca lines, the fantasy of many to rise. The theories about the Nasca lines are written too many to mention.

One theory is that the lines have a relationship with water. In the area where the lines are good aqueducts discovered. These theories would be a link between the underground channels and the position of the lines. "Water" say the scholars of the ancient peoples had a reason to pull over the pampas. "

The most accepted theory is that of Maria Reiche, "it is the greatest book on earth about astronomy." If so, then who were the makers of those lines? The Nasca-people? The same people who collect heads as trophies? Or were the visitors from outside? If so ... from where they came? How could a nation more than 1500 years ago, with simple means, such figures and lines with extraordinary precision? That is the Nasca mystery.

Maria Reiche, they only spoke five languages and was a doctor in mathematics, physics, geography and pedagogy, has tried to unravel this mystery. She lived in the desert, a place on earth even if the book "One Hundred Years of Solitude" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez could come. Only the 'Lines of Nasca are not a fantasy story but a reality. Since high in the lonely South American desert are the lines as the silent witness of who or what really ....
