Hotel de Glace

Hotel de Glace is one of the most important tourist attractions in Quebec City, Canada, during winter. The hotel opened in 2001, and was visited so far by more than half a million people. The hotel's architecture attracts visitors because of translucent sculptures and snow vaults. Those interested can visit the Hotel de Glace, from 6 January to 25 March 2012.

Ice Hotel

In Sweden, Ice Hotel is rebuilt every year from ice and snow. Including interior walls and furniture are made of these materials temporary. Ice Hotel is located in the village of Jukkasjarvi, near Kiruna airport. Ice Hotel is known worldwide as the first ice hotel ever built. It was inaugurated in 1990 and then was rebuilt every year, is open from December to April.


Whitepod is an ecological hotel in Switzerland. Located on a glacier, near the village of Les Cerniers, 90 minutes from Geneva, Whitepod surprises by its dome-shaped buildings. The hotel is open only in winter, from December to April. Those who decide to spend time here should know that there is no running water and electricity; bathrooms are in the main building reception. Instead, our guests enjoy comfortably furnished rooms with wood stoves, sheepskin rugs and quilts warm. Round windows offer spectacular view of the snowy Alps.

Kakslauttanen Hotel

Kakslauttanen Hotel is located in Finland and consists of a collection of 20's igloo, made of glass. Glass walls provide a continuous contact with the outside; making it possible, follow the northern natural phenomena, even in its own bed. During the Northern Lights, the hotel is crowded.
