World Tourism Organization has made known to most visited 10 countries in the world. Top destinations include famous for their rich history and culture, but also for culinary delights that seduce tourists every year.

In 2010, the number of tourists who had allowed a holiday abroad increased by 7% to 940 million compared with 2009.

1st place: France

France wins first place among the most visited countries in the world in 2010. Nearly 68 million tourists chose to spend their holiday in this country. Castles of the Loire, Paris, Gold Coast resorts, Burgundy, Britain, and Provence are just some of the most popular holiday destinations in France. History, culture, gastronomy high-level fashion and shopping are a small part of why this country is successful every year.

2nd place: USA

USA is the second worldwide attractive destination for tourists. In 2010 there were 59.7 million visitors. Thus, there was an 8.7% increase compared with 2009. Vast territory includes a nearly unlimited list of attractions. From the top are New York, Las Vegas, Washington, Grand Canyon and Great Lakes.

3rd place: China

China attracted 55.7 million tourists in 2010, by 9.4% more than last year. Beijing, Shanghai, the Forbidden City and Great Wall are some of the most important sights.

Place 4. Spain

Spain has not registered a significant increase compared to 2009 in 2010 was only 1% more tourists. However, Spain ranks among the most visited four countries of the world, with 52.7 million tourists.

Place 5: Italy

Italy has attracted 43.6 million tourists in 2010, thus registering an increase of 0.9% compared to 2009. Italy offers every type of tourist attraction, from cities that are considered outdoor museum in mountain resorts or seaside. Italian cuisine has gained followers worldwide.
