1. Hotel de Glace in Quebec, Canada

Hotel de Glace is the first building of its kind in North America and has opened its doors on January 1, 2001. The hotel is frozen up every year near Quebec City, in the mountains Laurentina and tourist accommodation proposes 85 beds of ice, equipped with reindeer furs and covered with mattresses and sleeping bags heat.

2. Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärvi, Sweden

Sorrinsniva igloo hotel in Norway, the northernmost building of its kind in Europe, was built for the first time in 2000. Occupies an area of 2,000 square meters and includes 30 rooms and a wealth of ice sculptures, plus a chapel, a gallery and a bar where drinks are served in ice glasses.

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of Sorrinsniva hotel is that it is built respecting each year a different theme. The hotel can be visited for the amount of 150 Norwegian kroner.

4. Ice Hotel at Balea Lac

Romania is proud to turn an impressive ice hotel, built in Fagaras Mountains, near Lake Balea. The building is the first in Eastern Europe and offers guests accommodation in 10 rooms and 3 suites. The hotel also includes a bar and a restaurant, plus a church.
