Prado Museum

Prado is considered one of the greatest museums in the world. The museum houses over 7,600 paintings, sculptures around 1000, over 6000 drawings and approximately 2,500 prints. In addition, the museum features collections of coins and collections of works of art from the eighteenth century and nineteenth century.

Among the museum's masterpieces include those signed by famous artists such as Goya, Velazquez, Raphael, Bosch, and Rubens. Prado Museum offers visitors guides depending on interest and visit duration. Botin Restaurant

Botin entered the Guinness Book of Records as the oldest restaurant in the world, dating from 1725. According to legend, it is said that Goya would have worked in this restaurant before becoming a painter. What is known is that the writer Hemingway was a regular patron.

Botin is a traditional restaurant with Mediterranean cuisine. Although famous recommended by several travel guides, Botin is a luxury restaurant, the price of a main course is approximately 18 euros.


Cable car ride

Cable car in Madrid is a tourist attraction in itself, but is one of the top activities recommended for a holiday in the metropolis. "He Teleférico" was originally built as part of the amusement park Parque de Atracciones.

Cable car journey starts Paseo del Pintor Rosales Street. Travel pass over the river Manzanares and offers a spectacular view of the city from above. There are many tourist attractions that you can see from above, as Egyptian temple Debod and Plaza de Espana.


Palacio Real

Palacio Real is one of the most beautiful palaces of Madrid. The building has no less than 2,800 rooms, of which about 50 are included in the official tour.

The Royal Palace is the official residence of the Spanish Royal Family, but now is used as a space for state ceremonies and events. The palace was built in the eighteenth century. One of the biggest attractions of the palace is the Stradivarius collection.


Plaza Mayor

Plaza Mayor is considered one of the most beautiful squares of Madrid. Rectangular shape, the market has a uniform architecture with numerous arches, balconies and Dove.

The first design of the market was made in 1581 by the architect Juan de Herrera. Plaza Mayor was rebuilt in the eighteenth century. In the middle of the square is a statue of King Philip III. If in the past, Plaza Mayor inquisition was used for canonization, today, this place every year hosts cultural events and holidays of Christmas fairs take place here.
