Rijksmuseum

Rijksmuseum is the largest museum in the Netherlands and was founded in the early nineteenth century. The museum has over one million visitors each year and has an unequaled collection of Dutch art. Most works and masterpieces are from the Golden Age.

Van Gogh Museum

In Amsterdam you will find the largest collection of works by the artist Van Gogh. This museum has over 200 paintings, 500 drawings and more than 700 letters that belonged to the artist.

A very important: until 25 April 2013, Van Gogh Museum will be relocated to the Hermitage Amsterdam.

Program visit: daily between 10.00 and 18.00 (until 22.00 on Fridays)
Entry fee: 10 euros.


Joods Historisch Museum

Joods Historisch Museum has over 11,000 works of art from artists Hebrew. Here you can find 43,000 books, brochures, documents, photographs, audio and video documents on the history of the Jewish people.

Program visit: daily from 11.00 to 17.00
Admission: 9 euros


FOAM

FOAM or FOtografiemuseum AMsterdam regularly hosts photo exhibitions, belonging to world-renowned artists, as well as some lesser known but equally talented.

Exhibitions are alternating with small performances, dynamic program of lectures, discussions, workshops, guided tours and special photo.

Program visit: daily from 10.00 to 18.00
Entry fee: 8 euros.


Stedelijk Museum

Stedelijk Museum has the largest collection of modern and contemporary art. More specifically, here you will find over 90,000 works of art that belonged to artists like Bauhaus and De Kooning Mondriaan.

Program visit:
Tuesday - Sunday: 10.00 - 17.00
Thursday: 10.00 - 22.00

Entry fee: 10 euros.

Tourists who have Museumkaart Card, and I Amsterdam Card do not pay any entrance fee to the museum in Amsterdam.
