"Dead Sea is the most salted water on Earth"

Dead Sea has a salt content of about 30%. A similar value is also reached in Karabogas bay of the Caspian Sea. Even more salty is, however, Lake Assal from Djibouti Africa. It lies 173 m below sea level and contains salt in a proportion of about 35%. This comes on the one hand, from water flowing of the Indian Ocean, and on the other hand from several underground springs whose salinity is close to the sea. High water temperature 33-34 degrees Celsius encourages evaporation, thus forming huge salt walls.
