"Birth control pills come from the United States"
Birth control pills were invented in 1951, in a small laboratory in Mexico City. There worked, American chemist Carl Djerassi (born 1923), born in Vienna. He had the idea of artificially synthesized, progesterone, which prevents a subsequent pregnancy to another pregnancy, and set up as a way of birth control. Co-participants in the analysis of new active substances found, was also a laboratory of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The first contraceptive was awarded by the Mexican employer Djerassis.
