"Belshazzar was the king of Babylon"

In the Book of Daniel from the Old Testament speaking suggestively as ruler of Babylon saw the writing on the wall a threat that begins with the words "Mene Tekel" and in that were predicted the end. Persian conquest of Babylon by King Kryos (he reigned between 559 and 529 BC) is confirmed by the fact that the inhabitants of Babylon greeting happy with green branches. Belshazzar was killed most likely by his own people. However, he was king of Babylon, but only an administrator of state on behalf of his father (King Nabonid), who was so despised that for 11 years he could not be seen in its capital.
