"Ticks should not be plucked from the skin"

TRUE
Ticks should be removed from the skin carefully, but firmly, and even with a fast-moving straight up, to minimize the possibility of the tick eventual to transmit the pathogen of meningitis or borreliosis. All the old remedies, such as numbness the tick before removal (with oil, glue or any other substance) are useless. First, it would require too much time and secondly all the stomach contents may accidentally spilled into the wound before annihilation of the tick. Of course we should seek to fully extract the tick from the skin, otherwise the head of the parasite not been removed can lead to unpleasant inflammation.
