"The healthiest sleep is prior midnight"

The most beneficial effect for health it have the first 2 to 3 hours after falling asleep, at that point is more profound and more restful sleep by default. It does not matter whether is before or after midnight. Everyone has their own biorhythm after which they should guide themselves. Scientific studies have not found that early morning people would be healthier than those who live a night life. But at least 5 hours per night should be sleeping. More hours of sleep are probably pleasant but not absolutely necessary, from medical point of view.
